Report on progress of works in "Public Employment for Sustainable Agriculture and Water Management Project, Grant TF 097691 "

Project is financed by International Development Association of World Bank- the Manager of Grant trust fund of European Union for emergency prevention of crisis in food prices. Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and International Development Association was signed on September 03, 2010 and was endorsed by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan on October 22, 2010, Order No. 949. Total Grant amount is 7 416 750 EURO (or equivalent of 10 012 612 USD).

The First Meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Coordination Council on drinking water supply identified key priorities

Dushanbe, 11 November 2011 - In the conference hall of Kohi Vahdat in Dushanbe, the Ministry of Land Reclamation and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan launched the first session of Inter-Ministerial Coordination Council on drinking water supply (IMCC) with participation of representatives from government ministries and agencies, donor agencies and financial institutions involved in the development of the water supply and sanitation sector.

UNHCR Tajikistan hosts news conference on occasion of World Refugee Day

Like other countries in the world, Tajikistan will mark World Refugee Day on June 20. According to the UNHCR Dushanbe Office, UNHCR Representative in Tajikistan, Mr. Ilija Todorovic, will give a news conference on occasion of World Refugee Day in Dushanbe tomorrow.
